Victrex PEEK polymer global price increase
On August 15, 2014, Thornton Cleveland, the high-performance polyaryletherketone solutions division of Victrex, announced that it would increase the price of its VICTREX polyaryletherketone polymer products by at least 6.8% from October 1, 2014 (or as required by the contract), to account for the rising costs of major raw materials such as hydroquinone and to compensate for the increased costs of energy, freight and inflation.
As the cost of raw materials and labor increases, the company will control costs by reducing consumption, optimizing processing technology, etc. to minimize the impact on customers.
PEEK (polyetheretherketone) has the advantages of high temperature resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, self-lubrication, high strength, hydrolysis resistance, flame retardancy, radiation resistance, and dimensional stability. It is widely used in aerospace, analytical instruments, electronic semiconductors, automobiles, medical treatment, food processing and beverage filling equipment and other fields.
The company can carry out continuous extrusion production of PEEK rods, plates, capillaries, thick-walled tubes and sheets, and has passed the inspection of SGS and other testing agencies, with excellent and stable quality. Our company will also be committed to collecting market demand, conducting application research and development and production to meet customer needs and become a better domestic professional application R&D and manufacturer of PEEK plates, rods and other profiles and finished parts!
