Thermal steam ablation of prostate hyperplasia is a procedure that injects 103°C sterile steam into the hyperplastic tissue in the target area through a PEEK urinary puncture needle. The steam quickly distributes in the hyperplastic tissue, causing the temperature of the hyperplastic tissue to reach 70°C and inducing the hyperplastic tissue to lose activity, necrotize and shrink, and be absorbed by the human body. This procedure was applied in Shanghai and is currently recognized as one of the advanced minimally invasive surgical methods for prostate hyperplasia.
