Recently, Changzhou Junhua Special Engineering Plastic Products Co., Ltd.’s project “Research and Development of Continuous Extrusion Technology for High-Performance Special Polymer PEEK Profiles” received a grant of 100,000 yuan from the Science and Technology Innovation Fund of Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province.

The main content of this project is to study the continuous extrusion molding of high-performance special polymer polyetheretherketone (PEEK) profiles, in which the materials mainly include polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and the continuous extrusion process of modified composite materials such as enhanced and lubricated PEE. The profile categories mainly include continuous extrusion research of rods with a diameter of 3 mm to 200 mm, continuous extrusion molding research of plates with a thickness of 5 mm to 15 mm and a width of 500 mm to 1000 mm, extrusion research of sheets with a thickness of 0.5 mm to 5 mm, extrusion research of capillaries of different specifications with an outer diameter of 1.6 mm to 2.2 mm and an inner hole of 0.1 mm to 1.6 mm, and continuous extrusion research of thick-walled tubes with an outer diameter of 10 mm to 590 mm. The project mainly purchases hardness testers, density testers, impact strength testers, mechanical testing machines, torque testers and other equipment for testing, and standardizes the profile research and development of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and its modified materials. The project is expected to be completed by October 2015, and the R&D investment is expected to be 6 million.

Changzhou Junhua Special Engineering Plastics Products Co., Ltd. was founded in 2007. It now owns Wujin District’s high-performance special engineering plastics engineering technology and is a unit with the ability to continuously extrude PEEK plates, rods, and tubes.
