On the morning of December 3, Jiangsu Junhua Special Engineering Plastic Products Co., Ltd. and the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Changzhou University signed a practical teaching base cooperation agreement and held a plaque awarding ceremony.

In 2014, the company signed an agreement with Changzhou University to cooperate in special engineering plastics molding and processing technologies such as polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and polyimide (PI), and polyetheretherketone (PEEK) continuous extrusion and other projects. In 2019, the Jiangsu Provincial Enterprise Graduate Workstation jointly applied by Junhua PEEK and Changzhou University was approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology. After the qualification review, Mr. Tan Zongshang, the deputy general manager of Junhua PEEK, was hired as the “off-campus tutor for professional degree graduate students of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Changzhou University”.

In order to further consolidate the long-term and sustainable targeted talent training with Changzhou University and better cultivate high-quality, high-skilled basic research and application talents, Junhua PEEK and Changzhou University jointly built the practical teaching base of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Changzhou University. In the future, the practical teaching base and the graduate workstation will be the top priority of school-enterprise cooperation, jointly cultivate application talents, and cooperate in the development of PEEK raw material polymerization, continuous carbon fiber CF/PEEK thermoplastic composite prepreg and products, and medical high-end PEEK and PPSU profiles and products.

Changzhou University’s majors in polymer materials and engineering, chemical engineering and technology, and materials science and engineering are specialty majors in Jiangsu Province, and have strong advantages in the field of chemical engineering.
