1. Overview
Pure PEEK is an insulator with outstanding high and low voltage resistance, and can maintain its electrical properties in a wide range of temperature and frequency. However, in special industries such as electronic semiconductors, static electricity accumulation generated during the production process can absorb dust, causing electronic devices to break down and damage, or even lead to major accidents such as explosions and fires. This requires that PEEK rollers, PEEK vacuum pen tips, etc. must not only have the advantages of high temperature resistance, wear resistance, and high strength, but also have anti-static and conductive functions. Conductive auxiliary materials such as carbon fiber and graphite can be added to pure PEEK to form anti-static PEEK or even conductive PEEK.
2. Classification Standards
One of the main ways to distinguish insulators, antistatic materials and conductors is to detect their surface resistance. The classification standards are detailed in the table below:

Remark:
1. Surface resistance value is referred to as surface resistance.
2. The concept of surface resistance: It refers to the ratio of the DC voltage between two points on the surface of a material to the current passing through it, unit: Ω (ohm).
3. Measurement methods, instruments and photos: There are two commonly used methods for measuring surface resistance:

Note: The surface resistance tester is designed according to EOS/ESD, CECC, ASTM and UL test procedures, and is used to measure the impedance or resistance of all conductive, antistatic and electrostatic discharge surfaces. There are two types: light-on type and heavy hammer type. Junhua uses the light-on type.
2. It can also be measured with a megohmmeter (also called a multimeter)
