In July, in order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and implement the National Medium- and Long-Term Talent Development Plan (2010-2020) and Made in China 2025, the Wujin National High-tech Zone Federation of Trade Unions hosted the 2018 CNC Machining Operation Skills Competition. The competition opened at 08:00 am on July 15, 2018 at Changzhou Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Technology. Chen Yunlong, the director of the processing workshop of Jiangsu Junhua Special Engineering Plastics Products Co., Ltd., and Wei Ju, the squad leader, actively participated in the registration.

The competition is mainly based on machining operations, process compilation, manual and CAM programming, and program transmission. The competition topics are closely related to the actual production of enterprises, refer to the requirements for technicians in the relevant lathe and milling professional skills appraisal standards, and appropriately reflect the new technologies and new knowledge in the field of modern manufacturing technology. The competition is divided into two teams, one of which is responsible for CNC machining operations and processing, and the other is responsible for 3D modeling and automatic programming of parts.

As the competition started, even though the weather was very hot, it couldn’t stop the enthusiasm and performance of all the contestants. Our workshop team leader Wei Ju was handsome and calm as he prepared to start adjusting the machine.

After fierce competition, the game ended at 14:00 in the afternoon of the same day. They demonstrated high standards of efficiency and skills in the competition. Although many shortcomings were found in the competition, we will continue to improve, enhance and innovate in our future work.

Our processing workshop director Chen Yunlong and team leader Wei Ju lived up to expectations and won the third prize. Dean Ma of Changzhou Mechanical and Electrical Vocational Technical College personally presented the certificate. At the same time, Jiangsu Junhua Special Engineering Plastic Products Co., Ltd. also won this honor.

In order to commend the two colleagues and encourage everyone to work hard to study skills, focus on summarizing and accumulating practical experience in daily work, and improve programming and machine operation efficiency, our company has decided to reward Chen Yunlong and Wei Ju as an encouragement.

This skill competition has further stimulated the enthusiasm of all employees of Junhua PEEK. Their colleagues are proud of the honor they have won. It has created a very good atmosphere throughout the factory and enhanced the team’s centripetal force and cohesion.
